Policies

Payment Policies:

Payment Accepted:
Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and cash. I will not accept any other form of payment.

  • Payment must be due at end of each babysitting session.

  • Refunds are only issued if I need to cancel a booking due to an emergency. 

 

These policies help ensure fairness and consistency for all families I work with.

Cancellations:
Life happens, so I offer free cancellations with no penalties or fees.

 

Travel Fee:

Booking outside my listed areas will include a travel fee, based on distance.

No Hidden Charges:

I do not charge extra for supervising playdates, sleepovers, or group hangouts.

  • I require the other parent’s contact number for coordination.

  • I will supervise up to 5 children maximum.

Discounts

As a thank‑you for your service and commitment, I’m offering:

  • 10% off for federal employees.

  • 10% off for teachers and first responders.

  • 10% off for parents pursuing college.

Please note: Discounts require a valid ID. Without verification, I won’t be able to apply the discount. Thank you for understanding!

 

There are no booking fees or hidden costs. My goal is to keep things upfront, fair, and consistent for every family.

Booking Policies:

  • Before the first babysitting job, I ask all families to complete a brief phone or Zoom interview. This gives us a chance to build trust and make sure I understand your child’s needs and house rules.

  • If you’re booking through a platform like SitterCity, please know that all communication and payments must stay within that site due to their policies. Thank you for your understanding.

  • I do not accept any bookings via social media other than Facebook Messenger. 

  • Background checks have already been completed through babysitting platforms. If you’d like to conduct your own, please note that there is a cost.

  • By booking with Edina’s Babysitting, you confirm and agree to these terms, helping us start on the same page.

Other Policies:

  • I value respectful communication. I reserve the right to decline or end services if hostile or unsafe behavior occurs during booking, interviews, or care.

  • Parents are responsible for providing a safe environment, necessary supplies, and clear instructions.

  • In the event of an emergency, if I cannot reach you, I will contact 911 to ensure your child’s safety. Any costs incurred will be the family’s responsibility.

  • Pet care is available only if discussed and agreed upon in advance.

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: Available after 1:00 PM 

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: Available after 3:30 PM

College Break Availability (DMV area):

  • Thanksgiving Break: November 21–29

  • Winter Break: December 19–January 24

  • Spring Break: March 13–21

  • Summer Break: May 20–August 27​
